Global Status Report on Violence Prevention

Released in December by the World Health Organization (WHO), the “Global Status Report on Violence Prevention 2014” takes stock of how countries are making a difference by preventing and responding to violence.

The U.S. is among a handful of countries in the report with national data on all types of interpersonal violence and data systems in place to monitor trends in deaths and injuries, identify people at risk for violence, and track the success of prevention efforts.
