Protecting Students from Sexual Assault

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s Division of Violence Prevention is committed to stopping sexual violence before it begins. So they along with their federal colleagues recently marked the one-year anniversary of the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault.

As part of the Task Force’s recommendations, the White House also launched NotAlone.gov. The Not Alone website provides resources for students, schools, and others on how to prevent and respond to sexual assault on college and university campuses.

In conjunction with the anniversary, the Task Force also released a sample memorandum of understanding, created to improve communication and coordination between campuses and local law enforcement.
